Our Advantages
Our primary objective of bringing true broadband service to rural and low-density outlying suburban (or “rurban”) areas is our most important advantage. To this end, we use advanced wireless technology that provides multi-megabits per second throughput for downloads and uploads (typically more than 3 mbps and often much faster). Alternative wireless and satellite services typically only offer peak rates of 1.5 mbps download and 128 to 512 kilo bits per second upload. Consequently, our service will provide data throughput that is up to 5+ times faster for downloads and up to 20+ times faster for uploads at comparable prices. In fact, our throughput and rates compare well to the “hard-wired” services available in much denser suburban or even some urban areas.
Our unique wireless technology was developed by our parent company, HierComm, Inc., specifically to deliver high-speed Internet access in areas where cable, optical fiber and even DSL broadband connections are not available. Patent-pending SERT technology increases the range and throughput (measured in megabits per second) of wireless networks. SERT is deployed in combination with other state-of-the-art wireless transmission technologies to ensure robust, high-speed connections. While other wireless services and satellites require a very clear “line of sight” between the subscriber and a distant tower or satellite, our network is less vulnerable to interference from minor obstructions, such as trees and smaller buildings.
We work with carefully selected technology partners to provide services with a level of performance and reliability that rivals much larger Internet service providers. Our services are both sophisticated and scalable from residential to medium-sized businesses.
We deploy the same equipment technology, operating on different radio frequencies, that HierComm has developed for demanding public safety networks that require high reliability and minimal service interference due to “clutter,” or obstructions, such as trees and buildings.
